Thoughts For The Day 1

Hey guys, recently I just the Matrix from start to finish(first, second, third,) and they were great to say the least, very deep and interesting. I even had to rewind some scene just to understand some or the conversations("There is no spoon." still has me stumped XD)

It's a very thought provoking film, and if you haven't I recommend you watch the trilogy.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

If you've been in the UK the past few days you'll surely got your fix of snow by now,  and although I do like snow the timing is usually never right as I prefer it during Christmas. Since the snow in our country is wet and not dry like other countries across Europe it quickly changes to ice. Though I must say it does sure make the landscape look a lot different and I like taking pictures during this time since it only last a short while. Do you guys like snow at all ? let me know, let me know, let me know (couldn't help myself)

Smile, Love, Forgive.

Have you ever had one of those days when you were upset at someone or many people ? maybe it's the person you have to work with, your neighbor, your colleague or boss. They can say or do something to hurt you maybe not on purpose but it still hurt you & you're mad at them.  Perhaps they're the type to actively to get people upset just for kicks, & I'm sure everyone knows someone like that. In fact I've dealt with these kind  so often that sometimes I think it's unfair. They don't change & will keep upsetting people. Unforgivable aren't they? I used to think so.

Then I thought to myself why is this person acting like this ? why do these things to upset people ? then one day when that person was trying provoke me, the teacher make a joke on him which made him almost scared & insecure. I guess it's a defense mechanism for those with low self-esteem. Perhaps he has family problems, financial problems, who knows. I guess what I'm trying to get at is that person, that person on the street, that spiteful person in your workplace, may have problems or insecurities that cause them to act in a certain way. I'm in no way excusing anti-social behavior or defending them but rather don't write off people so quickly.

Despite the way a person treats me, I'm try my best to forgive them, I don't let the sun go down with anger still in my heart. Why ? because it's easy for anger to turn into murder or violence. Just smile & never let them know they hurt you. Success is the best revenge. Life's too short to keep grudges & anger, heck, that's why a lot of countries are at war, we can stop this vicious cycle, & love is the medicine.

Success the never ending journey

I felt great today as I handed in a assignment on time, which is an improvement from what I done last year(It was bad really bad.) I just felt great after all those hours of dedication & effort(a few all nighters too) I guess what I want to get across is the feeling of achieve something after devoting time to it. I want to in the near future pass my driving & get motorcycle license. For some this is probably a fairly easy task to accomplish but not everyone is confident on the road *cough* women(I hate to be sexist but it does seem like most women are too cautious) I'm a bit nervous of things like this, but think of any of challenge you may face in your life & compare it to something equally difficult you've accomplished. For me, learning to ride my bike on the road was big step for me but I eventually became so comfortable that I barely think about it now.

So ladies & gentlemen do not let fear make decisions for you, do that thing you've always been terrified to do, be willing to take a risk, challenge yourself because while you're sitting thinking about what could be reality, you're wasting time. You only live once.

Roundabouts The Spiral death trap

Yeah I know, some of you reading this probably think it's ridiculous, but I have a fear of large roundabouts, yeah they speed the flow of traffic, & their fairly easy to understand, but I really don't like them. The Magic roundabout in Swindon, I feel sorry for those who have to commute there, this like a game on hard mode.

In roundabouts, right side has priority(left for other European countries) & you indicate before you take your exit. Now that's not too bad right? well it would be if I didn't have a bad first time experience with them. This probably the craziest thing I've done(on second thought...) I tried to go enter the roundabout. On my electric bike(goes about 15mph).

The first time was actually pretty good & went well without anything happening, so that gave me a confidence boast. So the next day commuting to college I thought I'd zip past the roundabout since it's faster. Big mistake. I went when I thought it was safe only to find that when I approaching the 2nd exit a car going very fast(about 30-40mph) was going to rear end me. Felt like my heart jumped out of me, I quickly moved in the inner lane to avoid the crash. & safely made it. Last time I tried that again. admittedly, that was my fault for being in the roundabout since the car generally go around 30mph on there, but after seeing a cyclist crossing it so easily I got inspired to try myself.

I fear the day I have to go through on my driving test coming up in the near future, but it's really the only thing I'm nervous about. Since I ride my bike on the road most of the time I generally have confidence & I'm assertive when it comes to crossing. Anyways just wanted to share my experience with you. What's your guys experience with roundabouts ? can't imagine it being worst that mine. Let me know guys.
